linux dd image
Brent
I used "dd" in linux to backup a dead version of windows on separate partition. I backed it up to a 320 GB USB external hard drive. The partition was only 40 GB, and now the disk image of the external hard drive is identical to the partition I copied (40GB). How can I get access to the rest of the external hard drive? I am hoping to save the information that was on it before I performed the backup.
Answer
if you get a disk partitioning software, you should be able to access your "unallocated" space without disrupting the rest of the data.

Im running v23 std build on my WBR2-G54s and when I run iwconfig I get this.
/tmp/smbshare # iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
teql0 no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
imq0 no wireless extensions.
imq1 no wireless extensions.
eth1 no wireless extensions.
vlan0 no wireless extensions.
vlan1 no wireless extensions.
br0 no wireless extensions.
Now I know my wireless card is eth1 but its not showing it. Why?
I can connect to it via wireless and I can connect to an AP in Client mode.
Answer
My guess is that the wireless card drivers are not being recognized/loaded
